High Resolution Drum Scanning
The superb quality of images captured on a drum scanner makes this type of scan a must for reproduction on printed pages as well as large format prints.

There are vast technological differences between CCD (flatbed) , and PMT (drum, photomultiplier) scanners. Therefore, scans from the drum scanner should be requested according to the final output screen resolution (ie. 150-line screen), rather than specifying an input scan resoulution (ie., 1200 dpi). The resultant file will be saved with sufficient data to support the image size you requested at the screen ruling you specified.

Film Output
Graphic Depot has been doing quality film production for over 20 years. Our film plotters are capable of producing film positives/negatives up to 14" x 20". This flexibility allows us to produce film small enough for business cards and large enough for a full two page spread.

Image setters are used to produce printing quality negatives from a computer file (think of them as super complicated printers). Printing done from these negatives tends to be crisper and cleaner than printing done from traditional camera ready art, because this method eliminates several steps from the printing process. Image setting is also much less expensive than separations done from camera ready art.
